Steelyard Passage (COL)

 

Ed Brooks Furniture designed a solid oak bin-store for Steelyard Passage in Central London. Sangwyn implemented the installation of this street furniture alongside Alex and Ed Brooks.

 

The result being a safe, sturdy and architecturally interesting fixture that keeps the large industrial bins hidden from view, and inhibits vehicular access into the restricted pedestrian areas.

 

The construction was solid fresh oak sleepers screwed and bolted together. The uprights were fixed by concreting bespoke support plates into the ground, and then bolting the pre-cut timbers vertically onto them.
