'Project Milespit' was largely about reclamation of space. We were faced with a very over-grown exterior aspect, that was tired and unappealing.
The garden was designed to open up the space and create an area for socialising and relaxing. A lower patio leads to a raised decked verandah via the limestone paving which intersects a large deck
and artificial lawn.
Tiered green oak planters have been constructed to create height and structure, with formal planting using a small number of species to produce a serene but visually diverse environment.
Black bamboo provides a screen all around the perimeter, and a solitary feature palm stands in a purpose-built planter within the main deck area.
LED flood lighting illuminates the bamboo from below, with spotlights situated in the planters to
bring the garden to life after dark.
